We had another fun filled and busy weekend!  The festivities began on Thursday with my birthday dinner at Mom's.  We had build your own pizzas and topped the night with chocolate gnocchi cake and soy ice-cream.  Yum!  Thank you to everyone for coming and for my wonderful gifts.  We had a blast!

Friday night was spent at Cajun's with friends.  Started out on the patio and ended on the dance floor with Dustin receiving hive-fives from some women for his awesome dance moves.  As the night came to a close, the 3 musketeers had bar food at Fox and the Hound and I officially voted it creepiest and skankiest (I know that's not a word, but it was as nice of a description as I could come up with) bar in central Arkansas.  The band serenaded us with poorly sung Nickelback songs as we walked out, and I made Dustin vow to never take me there again-ha!  The pretzels were amazing though.

Saturday night we had a date night, with dinner and a viewing of Terminator (hello Christian Bale).  We both loved it, but we had even more fun beforehand playing games.  Dustin dominated the war game with his green plastic gun, then kicked my butt at air hockey.

All in all it was a fantastic weekend.  We are still on the countdown to our move.  I only have 9 days left of work, then we are off to Rosemary beach with Dustin's family.  The boys leave on June 29th for the long drive to Portland (so chivalrous), and Daniel and Dave-O will be spending July 4th with us, so I can only imagine the debauchery that will ensue.  : )  Stay tuned!

Our future home

Someone got a tattoo!  It's me, it's me!

Happy hour at Doug Fir

Dustin and the donuts from Voo-Doo!  "The magic is in the hole"  : )

On our way to dinner at Blossoming Lotus

So we had a fabulous trip to Portland, packed with apartment searching, a job interview, falling in love with puppies, and lots of great food.  We flew in on Thursday and began the evening with drinks at Hotel Fifty followed by dinner at Blossoming Lotus.  Can anyone say vegan shepherd's pie?  We ended the night at Voo-doo donuts where we got vegan glazed and a fruit loop glazed donut.  MMM!

Friday began with breakfast at Cafe Bijou and a walk to our new apartment.  It's in the Goose Hollow neighborhood and it's tiny but perfect!  We then had lunch at the Red and Black cafe and roamed around the SE side of town.  We visited Sweetpea bakery and tasted chocolate peanut butter bars and chocolate cupcakes....all vegan of course.  We caught the Doug Fir happy hour and enjoyed people and tattoo watching.  The night ended with vintage shopping and dinner at Farm Cafe.

Saturday after breakfast we went to visit the shelter pup Pocahontas.  She was a beauty and Dustin and I instantly fell in love.  We are still debating a fly and dry back to make sure we get her.  Any suggestions?  Look at that face?!  Lunch time took us back to the SE side, and I got a tattoo!!  Finally!  It has special meaning between me and Dustin, and yes it hurt just a wee bit.  Ha.  We roamed the city and ate vegan bar food for dinner at Someday Lounge and caught the Rose Festival parade on the walk home.  The next morning flight was early, and we were soooooooooooo not ready to come back, but only 26 days until moving day.  Hip Hip.

Just a side note:  tomorrow is the big day for me  2-5 baby!  : )  Yay!
